In China,the ceremony of marriage is very important to most of people,for the effect of thousands of traditional culture.So almost every wedding is very grand , but people’s minds have gradually changed in recent years,the ways of marriage are more flexible, and a lot of young people are no longer confined to the traditional form, instead of some new idea such as tourism marriage, as they begin more attention to their own feelings rather than family members, friends and other outsiders’view.Some partners even enjoy their sweet life as soon as receiving the marriage certificate and no longer hold any ceremony. Organizing the wedding is still a boring thing, especially at the old etiquetteolds, which are deep-rooted in people’s mind.Such as 份子钱（i don’t know how to translate the word,it means everyone that take part in the wedding should give money packaged in a red envelope),there is no standard so different people usually give different amounts of money,but almost no one would not give, which represents the wishes to the couple and these money is also some actual help, but in fact,people are feeling very tired for this, and some people has a lot of friends, probably during a period they have to take part in a number of consecutive wedding, because of the close relations,they have to give more money,cause financial hardship temporarily.Some people fabricate some reason to refuse the invitation of others because of money.
In rural areas, much more people take part in the wedding,in order to recall correctly, there is a specific accounting staff who record the amount of money which guests give to the couple.When other people holdwedding in future, of course, possibly when their children’s wedding,present couple need give them the same amount of money. Although it is cumbersome, but it indeed have some meaning, especially in cultural significance.
